v1.7.0
π R-Shell 1.7 β Stable Sessions
This release brings long-lived connection reliability: SSH keepalive prevents servers from silently dropping idle sessions, and the PTY terminal now detects dropped connections gracefully instead of silently replacing the shell. A new lazy-loading directory tree, improved file browser toolbar, and robust path quoting round out the update.
Added
- π³ Directory Tree: New lazy-loading, expandable directory tree panel in the integrated file browser for fast folder navigation without changing the main view
- π SSH Keepalive: Client-side SSH keepalive now runs every 60 seconds (3 missed replies triggers clean disconnect), preventing SSH servers from silently timing out idle connections after hours of inactivity
Changed
- π₯οΈ File Browser Toolbar: Enhanced integrated file browser UI with an improved toolbar layout, clearer action grouping, and better visual hierarchy
Fixed
- π Path Quoting: File listing and stat commands now correctly quote paths containing apostrophes, spaces, and other shell special characters β fixes errors browsing directories with unusual names
- π PTY Session Loss Detection: After a session is established, a dropped SSH connection now displays
[SSH session lost. Use right-click β Reconnect]instead of silently spawning a fresh shell with lost state - β‘ Reconnect Retry: Implemented cancellation-aware exponential backoff for PTY reconnect attempts; permanent failures (connection not found) now fail fast instead of burning all retry attempts uselessly
