v1.5.3 - 2026-06-03

Patch release — dead dashboard entries can now be removed. The native protocol stays 1.

Fixed

  • "Project link unavailable" rows are no longer stuck. These dead dashboard entries are backed by session records with an empty/garbage project id, so they could not be opened — and the v1.5.2 expand/delete tools deliberately skipped them. They now carry a × cleanup action: after a destructive-confirm, all of that entry's session records are deleted (account-scoped, full-scan matched since an undefined project id is not indexed) with best-effort native history clearing per record, and the row disappears. The per-project panel-state blob is deliberately left untouched for these entries — an empty project id would map onto the global legacy storage key.

Release

  • Release metadata alignment: bumped the package, lockfile, extension manifest, compatibility target, README release commands / badges, and release tracking metadata for the v1.5.3 release.
  • Bumped package, extension manifest, compatibility target, README release commands, and release tracking metadata to 1.5.3 while keeping native protocol 1.
  • Current release artifact names now resolve to codex-overleaf-link-extension-v1.5.3.zip, codex-overleaf-native-host-v1.5.3.tar.gz, and codex-overleaf-link-1.5.3.tgz.
  • Native host install remains npm exec --yes codex-overleaf-link@1.5.3 -- install-native.
  • Native host diagnostics remain npm exec --yes codex-overleaf-link@1.5.3 -- doctor.
  • Native host uninstall is npm exec --yes codex-overleaf-link@1.5.3 -- uninstall-native.

npm native host package

Install or update the native host with the pinned npm package. Official release builds use the bundled stable extension id by default; pass --extension-id only for a custom or mismatched unpacked extension id:

npm exec --yes codex-overleaf-link@1.5.3 -- install-native

Run native diagnostics with the same pinned package:

npm exec --yes codex-overleaf-link@1.5.3 -- doctor

Uninstall the native host with the same pinned package:

npm exec --yes codex-overleaf-link@1.5.3 -- uninstall-native
