v2.0.0
v2.0.0 - 2026-07-14
Release candidate focused on preserving user state and making Reviewing-mode lifecycle actions reliable across reloads. The Extension and Native Host move to protocol 2 while retaining protocol 1 compatibility during the transition.
Fixed
- Preserved actionable Accept and Undo payloads for recent runs when session records are migrated into IndexedDB, so a reload no longer strips lifecycle controls from otherwise recoverable runs.
- Kept the IndexedDB schema at monotonic version
3, preventing profiles already opened by the RC from falling back to compact storage and appearing to lose session history. - Added a guarded snapshot fallback when Overleaf's in-memory editor undo history disappears after refresh; the fallback verifies the persisted post-write checkpoint before restoring or replaying content.
- Rebased exact run checkpoints when Overleaf wraps the tracked edit with unrelated prefix or suffix text, while refusing ambiguous or drifted content.
- Waited for asynchronously rendered Reviewing markers after normal writes, removing the intermittent state where Undo appeared without Accept.
- Propagated the run project identity through lifecycle writeback so stale tabs cannot replay Accept or Undo into another Overleaf project.
Changed
- Advanced the Extension and Native Host handshake to protocol
2; protocol1hosts remain accepted when they provide the required capabilities. - Published the candidate as GitHub prerelease
v2.0.0-rc.1. npm publication and stable-update discovery remain withheld until long-running local signoff is complete.
