Fixes installs coming out without the Google Play mark on some phones (#1). There, the
result showed installer=com.google.android.packageinstaller and Android Auto ignored the app.
What changed
- Works on more Android builds. Some Android 17 builds keep the Play mark only when
UnknownAuto starts the installer itself rather than through Shizuku. If an install comes out
without the mark, UnknownAuto now tries once more the other way (one more tap on Update)
and remembers which way works on your phone. - Clearer results. "Not installed" (cancelled or refused) is now separate from "installed,
but without the Google Play mark". It no longer just says "tap again". - Checks before installing. If a newer version, or one signed with a different key, is
already installed, UnknownAuto tells you to uninstall it first instead of failing silently. - Better details for bug reports. Show details now starts with your phone model, Android
version and installer version, and after a failed install it shows the installer's own log
lines (needs Shizuku running).
Install / update
Download UnknownAuto-1.1.apk below and open it. It updates 1.0 in place (same signing key).
Keep Shizuku running so both install methods are available.
Android 8.0+ (minSdk 26). The APK is self-signed, so Android will warn it's from an unknown
source. That's expected for a sideloaded tool.
