What's new in 0.9.6

  • Remove a title from Continue watching. Right-click a movie or series on the Continue watching page or shelf and choose "Remove from Continue watching". Nothing is deleted: it comes back by itself if you watch it again.
  • Episode lists show what you watched. A check mark on watched episodes, a bar and "N min left" on the one you stopped halfway, and "Up next" on the episode that follows. The list opens scrolled to it.
  • Speed and subtitles are kept per series. The playback speed you choose and the subtitle language you pick (or Off) carry on to the next episode of that series, also after a restart.

What's new in 0.9.5

  • Continue watching shows where you are in a series. Each series on the Continue watching page and shelf says the episode and the minutes left, for example "S2 E5 · 23 min left", with a progress bar, and one click resumes that episode at the minute you stopped. The next episodes follow.
  • Skip intro and skip credits. Providers do not publish where an intro ends, so you mark it once per series: in the player, open the new "Intro and credits" menu and choose "Intro starts here", "Intro ends here" and "Credits start here". From then on every episode of that series shows a "Skip intro" button during the intro and a "Skip credits" button in the credits (it starts the next episode). The S key takes the button.

IPTVMac for Windows 1.0.3 (Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit). Use IPTVMac-Windows-1.0.3-setup.exe (about 27 MB): it installs for your user only, with no administrator rights, over an earlier version too. Prefer no install? IPTVMac-Windows-1.0.3-portable.zip (about 39 MB): unzip anywhere and run IPTVMac.exe. Check the files against SHA256SUMS.txt. The app is not signed with a paid certificate, so Windows SmartScreen may ask you to choose More info, then Run anyway.

What's new

IPTVMac for Android 1.0.6. Install it over 1.0.5 (same signing key, your data stays). Phones and tablets: pick arm64-v8a unless you know you need another file. TVs and boxes: IPTVMac-Android-1.0.6-tv-32bit.apk (try it first) or ...-tv-64bit.apk. Check the files against SHA256SUMS.txt. Android 8 or later.

What's new

  • The app updates itself (phones and tablets). "Update now" in the banner or in Settings downloads the right file for your phone, with a progress bar, and starts the Android installer, which asks you to confirm. The first time, Android may first ask you to allow IPTVMac to install apps: allow it and the update goes on by itself. If anything fails, the banner offers the release page. This 1.0.6 is installed by hand as before; the next version is the first one that updates from inside the app. TVs still use the release page.

What's new in 0.9.4

  • Sync progress in percent. While a playlist syncs, the status line shows how far it is, for example "Syncing… 42%".
  • Every toolbar button is also in the View menu, with shortcuts: Live, Movies and Series with ⌘1, ⌘2 and ⌘3, Refresh with ⌘R, and Downloads with ⌥⌘L.
  • Smaller fixes to the window. The Live, Movies and Series control follows the width of its labels in every language, the categories have a title in the sidebar, the star of a channel stays next to its name on a wide window, the Downloads window fits what it holds, and its buttons and the Refresh button have names for VoiceOver and tooltips.
  • The welcome screen says to use only sources you are authorized to access (in all 31 languages).

IPTVMac for Windows 1.0.1: downloads for offline viewing, on top of the first Windows version (Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit). Use IPTVMac-Windows-1.0.1-setup.exe (27 MB): it installs for your user only, with no administrator rights, and adds a Start menu entry. Prefer no install? IPTVMac-Windows-1.0.1-portable.zip (39 MB): unzip anywhere and run IPTVMac.exe. Check the files against SHA256SUMS.txt.

Install

  1. Run the setup file.
  2. The app is not signed with a paid certificate yet, so Windows SmartScreen may say it protected your PC. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
  3. Open IPTVMac, add your Xtream Codes login or M3U link.

What's new in 1.0.1

  • Downloads for offline viewing. Download movies and episodes (whole seasons on Xtream series) from the details sheet and watch them without a network. The files go to Downloads\IPTVMac in your user folder. A download goes on while the app is open and picks up again the next time you start it. The download engine is tested on a real Windows machine (a file fetched from a local server, saved and checked for size).

What it is

The same player, search and 31 languages as the Mac and Android apps (Dart and Flutter with a small C++ shell, and the same libmpv engine). No account, no ads, no analytics.

  • Keyboard and mouse: Space or K pauses, Left and Right seek (Shift: six steps), Up and Down and the mouse wheel change the volume, M mutes, F or F11 fills the screen, Esc leaves full screen and then the player, Page Up and Page Down change the channel, [ and ] change the speed. A click pauses, a double click fills the screen, and the pointer hides while you watch.
  • Light: about 27 MB to download. Measured on a Windows 11 test machine with the app open on its welcome screen: about 0.1% of one processor core when idle and about 200 MB of memory. The display stays awake while a picture plays, and video decoding is set to use the graphics card when the driver supports it.
  • The app tells you when a new version is out (a banner with a link to the release page). Updates are manual: run the new installer over the old one.

Tested, and not tested

All 476 automated tests pass on Windows, and the installer was installed, started and uninstalled on a clean Windows 11 machine. The maintainer has also tried it on a real Windows PC, where it works well. This is still an early Windows version, so please report problems at https://github.com/Goelir/IPTVMac/issues (never post provider links, usernames or passwords).

IPTVMac for Windows 1.0.0: the first version for Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit). Use IPTVMac-Windows-1.0.0-setup.exe (26 MB): it installs for your user only, with no administrator rights, and adds a Start menu entry. Prefer no install? IPTVMac-Windows-1.0.0-portable.zip (37 MB): unzip anywhere and run IPTVMac.exe. Check the files against SHA256SUMS.txt.

Install

  1. Run the setup file.
  2. The app is not signed with a paid certificate yet, so Windows SmartScreen may say it protected your PC. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
  3. Open IPTVMac, add your Xtream Codes login or M3U link.

What it is

The same player, search and 31 languages as the Mac and Android apps (Dart and Flutter with a small C++ shell, and the same libmpv engine). No account, no ads, no analytics.

  • Keyboard and mouse: Space or K pauses, Left and Right seek (Shift: six steps), Up and Down and the mouse wheel change the volume, M mutes, F or F11 fills the screen, Esc leaves full screen and then the player, Page Up and Page Down change the channel, [ and ] change the speed. A click pauses, a double click fills the screen, and the pointer hides while you watch.
  • Light: about 26 MB to download. Measured on a Windows 11 test machine with the app open on its welcome screen: about 0.1% of one processor core when idle and about 200 MB of memory. The display stays awake while a picture plays, and video decoding is set to use the graphics card when the driver supports it.
  • The app tells you when a new version is out (a banner with a link to the release page). Updates are manual: run the new installer over the old one.

Tested, and not tested

All 476 automated tests pass on Windows, and the installer was installed, started and uninstalled on a clean Windows 11 machine. The maintainer has also tried it on a real Windows PC, where it works well. This is still an early Windows version, so please report problems at https://github.com/Goelir/IPTVMac/issues (never post provider links, usernames or passwords). Downloads for offline viewing are not in the Windows app yet.

IPTVMac for Android 1.0.4: the first version for Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV. Phones and tablets: install it over 1.0.3 (same signing key, your data stays) and pick arm64-v8a unless you know you need another file. TVs and TV boxes: use IPTVMac-Android-1.0.4-tv-32bit.apk (38 MB) or IPTVMac-Android-1.0.4-tv-64bit.apk (41 MB). Not sure which? Try the 32-bit file first: it runs on almost every TV and box, including most Fire TV sticks and Chromecasts with Google TV. If the TV says the app is not compatible, use the 64-bit file (newer 64-bit-only devices need it). Check the file against SHA256SUMS.txt. Android 8 or later.

Install on a TV

Fire TV and Android TV: install the Downloader app, open it and type https://github.com/Goelir/IPTVMac/releases/download/android-v1.0.4/IPTVMac-Android-1.0.4-tv-32bit.apk (or ...-tv-64bit.apk), then allow installing from Downloader when the TV asks. Or copy the file to a USB stick and open it with a file manager. There is no store listing yet. Updates are manual: install the new file over the old one.

What's new

  • Works with a TV remote. Arrows move, OK selects, Back goes up one level, and holding Back closes the app. A clear focus ring shows where you are, and everything is reachable without touch.
  • In the player: Left/Right seek, Up/Down change the channel (Up = next), OK pauses and shows the controls, Menu/Info opens the details, and the media keys work.
  • On a TV there are no downloads, no backup files and no update banner.
  • Welcome screen: it now says to use only sources you are authorized to access.

מה חדש

  • עובד עם שלט טלוויזיה. החיצים מזיזים, OK בוחר, Back עולה רמה אחת, ולחיצה ארוכה על Back סוגרת את האפליקציה. מסגרת פוקוס ברורה מראה איפה אתה, והכול נגיש בלי מגע.
  • בנגן: Left/Right מדלגים, Up/Down מחליפים ערוץ (Up = הבא), OK עוצר ומציג את הפקדים, Menu/Info פותח פרטים, ומקשי המדיה עובדים.
  • בטלוויזיה אין הורדות, אין קבצי גיבוי ואין באנר עדכון.
  • מסך הפתיחה: נוסף משפט שאומר להשתמש רק במקורות שיש לך הרשאה לגשת אליהם.
