If the problem goes away when you deactivate "Check note messages", then the only explanation of the behaviour is that there is a channel conflict, i.e. both keyboards of your console use the same MIDI channel. Or maybe the console sends double messages if you use a coupler (of the console) and then press the same note on two keyboards. Use a MIDI monitor on Linux or iOS to check this. Regards, |

I don't remember reports about broken Johannus organs, but multiple reports about broken cheap USB MIDI interfaces. Supporting broken setups is out of scope of the GO project - but the powerful MIDI matching captibilties allow some kind of workarounds: You can configure multiple MIDI events (eg. for listening on multiple channels) or match all channels, .... But the first thing is to understand, what kind of error is in your MIDI signals. |

Does one and the same key of your console send on different channels? Does it send a note-on on one channel and then a note-off on another channel? By the way, can you set the channels at your Johannus organ? |

hi,
i'm trying agan to solve an issue with GO and i have now some new infos for your suoport
Brief description of the issue
when i press keys on mi midi keyboard some / many of them get pressed without releasing i have to press them again (sometimes more than once) to have them off. This happens on windows and on Linux, i'm using different pcs with same issue midi keyboards are on a Johannus sweelink 30 organ.
At the time of the first post past year i issue was related to the cable or more probably to the latency. i tried to change configurations, following your suggestions, but the issue was never fixed so unfortunately i gave up trying to use GO.
Well, recently i connected an iPAD to the organ to test a free app named JeuxdorgMini.
Issue was exactly the same but i found a setting called "Check note messages" . I disabled it and whoila' the issue disappeaed !!
I know there was an option in GO to set MIDI event log on and off. When it is on, it gives exactly the same message as with JeuxdorgMini ! My hope was to find that option enabled by default... This is not true unfortunately. I looked for similar setting unsuccessfullly.
The question is this: does it exist some option (hidden tomme) that forces GO to log event messages like Jeuxdorg? If yes, does it make sense to you trying to disable it (or any similar option) to fix the issue ?
thanks in advance for your help . I DO wish to solve this issue and start using GrandOrgue !
regards
Paolo
