v0.3.4
X6200 transmit fixed (issues #1, #8); the update brings it all, and the X6200 card image also has a WiFi driver fix.
Which file. The X6100 takes OpenX6X00-x6100-v0.3.4-sdcard.img.zip and updates itself with OpenX6X00-x6100-v0.3.4-update.tar.gz. The X6200 takes OpenX6X00-x6200-v0.3.4-sdcard.img.zip and OpenX6X00-x6200-v0.3.4-update.tar.gz.
Install. Settings > Info > Update on a radio running v0.2.x or v0.3.x brings everything in this release except one X6200 driver fix. On the X6200, write the new card image when convenient: it adds the WiFi driver's fix for joins that time out. Settings and logs on the card's DATA partition stay; download the Backup from the web configurator first all the same. The X6100 needs no new image.
The radio now says when a release has a new card image. From this version, Check on the radio and on the web Update page says when a release also has a new card image for that radio and what it brings, and Settings > Info > Update keeps saying it until the new image is on the card.
X6200 transmit (issues #1, #8). Tested into a dummy load on base 1.0.7 and 1.0.8: AM, FM, FT8 and digital hold 4.9 to 5.0 W at 5 W.
- The base took the RF away about a second into a transmission. The radio now talks to it every second, as gdyuldin's X6200 firmware does.
- The ALC was read upside down, which also took the digital modes' audio about 40 dB down after a few overs. It now reads right, and the digital level stops once the power reaches the setting. The level learned by older versions is reset.
- The compressor's switch was upside down: Off turned it on. It is now off by default on the X6200.
- The X6200's volume now runs 0 to 100, the base's whole range.
Speaker and monitor (#1, #7). At volume 0, with the mute action, with Bluetooth headphones and Mute speaker, or while a TCI client transmits, the TX monitor is silent too, so FT8 tones no longer sound at volume 0.
WiFi (#3). An open network that also advertised WPS was joined as WPA and always failed. A failed join now says why on the screen, after four tries, and writes app_logs/wifi.txt for a report. The hand mic's digits type into the password box. "Change password" joins again. The WiFi and SSH backup that should keep WiFi across a card rewrite now works.
DX cluster (#4). One login instead of five, so a logger with the same call is no longer refused. A refused or taken-over login waits 30 minutes. Link On/Off on the Cluster app and the web page, a separate login (e.g. ON6URE-2), and power-off closes the link.
Band plan (#5). A band added on the web Bands page gets its strip, typed from its name: "60m CW" gets a CW strip, and the CW keyboard works there. 60 m is in the IARU plan.
Browser remote (#6). A Picture choice on the Remote page: Fast sends half-size frames, about 9 frames a second where Sharp gives 4 on a slow WiFi link.
Outside the ham bands (#9). Broadcast bands open in AM, not SSB. The X6200 receives FM broadcast (wide FM) and the airband (AM), receive only, after 6 m on the band keys. PRE and ATT are on the VOL 2:2 page (F1), since the X6200 has no PRE key.
Also. The boot screen says who maintains it. A power-off saves the running log to app_logs, so it can go with a report. The README says what to give in a report and explains the baseband of both radios and how to update it.
