DisDown 0.1.0 — Good conversations. Yours to keep.
DisDown 0.1.0
A local Discord archive client for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
Browse accessible servers, channels, DMs, groups, and forum posts in a Discord-style interface. Select entire containers or individual messages, reactions, profiles, attachments, embeds, stickers, polls, components, server objects, and returned fields. Choose HTML, JSON, CSV, Markdown, or text; save a standalone file or ZIP with a manifest and optional downloaded attachments. The themed folder browser, glowing Save control, animated progress, cancellation, and replacement confirmation are built into the app.
Forums open directly to paged posts. User-token sessions use account thread search for active and archived posts; selecting a forum post includes that thread, with the configured limits. The reported empty forum was reproduced and fixed in the live connected account.

Verification
43 API/export/filesystem tests and 5 real Electron desktop tests cover consent, granular selections, forum entry, formats, real file writing, path validation, replacement protection, cancellation during compression, and content escaping. All four native build jobs passed on Apple Silicon Mac, Intel Mac, Windows, and Ubuntu Linux, including launching the packaged applications. The binaries were built from commit 588622601b4be0023dc85951918a56b012070675 in run 40802611034.
A user-entered local Discord account verified server and DM/group discovery, message history, profiles, reaction-user lists, live ZIP/media export, populated archived-thread export, and the corrected forum pagination/open/back flow. Fixture tests and these bounded live checks do not prove access to every possible account feature. See the repository's verification matrix for scope.
Before using
Discord forbids user-account automation outside its OAuth2/bot API and may terminate accounts that use it. User-token endpoints are unsupported by Discord. The app requires explicit consent and acknowledgement. Bot-token mode has narrower access and is covered by transport tests; no live bot account was supplied.
Windows packages do not have a publisher signing certificate. See installation instructions.
Tokens stay in memory and are dropped on disconnect/exit. No DisDown server, telemetry, or automatic uploads. API access is read only. Content remains limited to the connected account's permissions. Missing content and media are reported as notices. The safety ceilings are 250,000 messages per job and 512 MB per downloaded file. Author-name pseudonymization is not full anonymization.
