What's new in 1.0.1
- Playlist links: a YouTube link with a playlist in it now switches on "This is a playlist" by itself. You can still switch it off.
- New video and audio player: player controls now match the GrabClip theme (play, seek, volume, fullscreen). Audio files show their thumbnail. The browser's Download option is gone from the player.
- yt-dlp updates fixed: "Update yt-dlp" no longer fails with "GitHub rate limit exceeded". GrabClip also checks for a new yt-dlp by itself and shows a red dot on the Settings icon when one is available.
- Updated yt-dlp: now includes yt-dlp 2026.10.26 for better YouTube downloads.
- Clearer errors: better messages for "The page needs to be reloaded" and the YouTube bot check.
- Cookies guide: now says to export cookies only for the site you need (for YouTube, from a private window), not "all cookies".
Install
- Download GrabClip_1.0.1_x64-setup.exe below (under Assets).
- Run it. No admin permission needed.
- If Windows shows a blue warning: More info → Run anyway (the installer is not code-signed with a Windows certificate).
You do not need GrabClip_1.0.1_x64-setup.exe.sig and latest.json. The app uses them to check and verify updates.
Requires: Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit).
Some antivirus programs may flag the installer because yt-dlp and ffmpeg are inside. This is a false positive.
SHA-256 of the installer: DAAEA8ECA1FCD3D8DF731CD0259A134E80DCB67164D065E57CEC779773DA9113
