• Square app icons on some TVs: reported on the NVIDIA Shield Pro. Tiles now cut their own circle or rounded shape, instead of relying on clipping the TV may skip.
• Crash with Wide banner: Flix could crash when the icon shape was set to Wide banner and an app had no banner.
• All apps tile in Wide banner: it no longer stretches; it shows a small grid icon with its name underneath.

• Any Nuvio fork works: whatever its app name, Flix recognises it and opens titles in it.

What's new

• Home opens on what you were watching. Press Home and the carousel turns to your latest Continue watching title, with Resume already selected. One OK and it plays in Nuvio. If there's nothing to resume, Home goes to your apps as before.
• Your choice: Settings → Home screen → Home opens on. Pick "What you were watching" (the default) or "Your apps".
• New wording: setup and Settings are reworded around watching.

What's new

• Update ready pill: when a new version of Flix has downloaded, a glowing "Update ready" pill appears on the home screen, next to the quick buttons. Select it and press OK to install; Flix reopens by itself.
• Install card in Settings: while an update is ready, a card at the top of Settings shows the new version and what's new, with an Install button.

Flix Launcher 1.0.7

Fixed

• Home button after an update: after updating, Home could open the TV's own home screen instead of Flix. This happened because Android sometimes marks Flix's Home service as crashed during the update. Flix now checks the service again 6 and 20 seconds after every update and turns it back on if needed.

Already stuck on the stock home screen after updating to 1.0.6? Open Flix from the app list, then go to Settings → Accessibility, turn Flix Launcher off and on again. You only need to do this once.

What's new

• Works with NuvioPlusIPTV (homelessbrian/NuvioPlusIPTV, app ID com.nuvio.livetv). If it's the Nuvio you have installed, Flix opens everything in it: Continue watching, Resume in the carousel, search results and posters. You no longer get "Install Nuvio".
• If more than one Nuvio is installed, Flix uses them in this order: Nuvio from GitHub (com.nuvio.tv), then the Play Store Nuvio (com.nuvio.app), then NuvioPlusIPTV.

• Weather city: go to Settings → Clock & weather → Weather city and type your city if the weather shows the wrong place. Leave it empty to go back to the automatic location, which comes from your internet connection.

• Idle updates no longer bring up Android's update confirmation over the idle screen. Flix installs an update while the TV is idle only when Android can do it without asking.

• Netflix-style search (🔍 on the home screen):
  • On-screen keyboard on the left, driven by the remote's arrows and OK. No pop-up system keyboard.
  • Results on the right start appearing within a few seconds and fill in as each addon answers.
  • Your own addons first: it searches your own addons (Tamil, Telugu… catalogues) first, then Cinemeta.
  • Before you type: it opens on titles recommended from your rows.
  • Voice: use 🎤 on the keyboard, or hold OK on 🔍.
• The All apps page also searches your addons.

• Resume from the carousel: your latest Continue watching title leads it, with ▶ Resume S2 E5 · 23 min left. One press goes straight to its streams.
• Up next: finish an episode and Continue watching offers the next one that has aired.
• Voice search: hold OK on 🔍 Search, or press the 🎤 button in search, and say a film, show or app.
• Switch Nuvio profile from the avatar at the start of the top menu.
• Updates itself: from now on Flix checks GitHub twice a day, downloads new versions in the background and installs them when the TV is idle. You can also go to Settings → About → Check for updates.
• First-run setup: connect Nuvio, choose rows, make Home open Flix.
• Themes: Cinema, Glass, Midnight and Minimal (Settings → Home screen → Theme).

Fixed

• After a crash, the Home button comes back to Flix within seconds instead of 30 minutes. If it can't, a banner on the home screen offers the fix.
• Left/Right on the carousel buttons steps through titles again; Home always lands on the Home tab.

Flix Launcher 1.0.2

⚠️ Upgrading from 1.0.0: uninstall first

1.0.0 was signed with a debug key by mistake. From 1.0.2 on, releases are signed with a proper release key, so Android won't install 1.0.2 over 1.0.0. Uninstall 1.0.0 once, then install 1.0.2. Later updates will install over it normally. (Coming from 1.0.1? Use Settings → About → Back up settings first, then restore after reinstalling.)

What's new

• OK on a film opens Nuvio's stream list directly. A Continue watching episode goes straight to its streams; a series opens its page so you can pick an episode.
• Works with the Play Store version of Nuvio (com.nuvio.app), which used to show "Install Nuvio".
• Fixed a crash when opening a title in Nuvio.
• Left/Right at the end of the apps row, top menu or carousel buttons no longer jumps to another row.
• Tiles no longer keep the poster shape for a few seconds while moving along a row.
