Kotgent 0.4.0 makes the Web UI substantially better on phones and adds server-driven notifications when an agent needs attention.

Highlights

  • Installable mobile PWA with a service worker, app icons, safe-area-aware layout, responsive drawer navigation, compact controls, keyboard-aware terminal sizing, a special-keys bar, and terminal reattachment after backgrounding.
  • Web Push subscriptions and attention notifications backed by persisted subscriptions, VAPID signing, per-session notification topics, deep links, and resilient delivery/lifecycle handling.
  • Easier phone sign-in with short, five-minute login codes alongside QR links, plus global rate limiting for ticket exchange.
  • More reliable unread/session updates and quieter daemon logs for expected WebSocket connection resets.

Upgrade

brew update
brew upgrade kotgent
kotgent install

Run kotgent install again after upgrading. The launchd plist stores a version-qualified Homebrew Cellar path, so reinstalling it is required to point the daemon at Kotgent 0.4.0.
