Hey Ansgar(@ansgarbecker),

I never quite had the opportunity to compile the program, so I never had anything to add in that matter, but I'm watching Silver Coder's video( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WV-vubcDnt8 ) and he add some issues with constref versus const and the use of a float instead of an integer.

EDIT: Further along the video he also discovers that you're still trying to run schtasks on a non Windows context.

The first 20m are what you need to focus on. The rest, I'm guessing, is just him doing some treasure hunt for your coding solutions.

I just found this gem on the forum:

{$IF FPC_FULLVERSION<30204}constref {$ELSE}const {$ENDIF}

I think this will solve your constref versus const issues for the time being.

About the float/int thing: Although TTimer.Interval is a uint32, it is milliseconds, while the user enters seconds, let's say "1,5" in Germany (1.5). The float 1.5 gets multiplied by 1000 for that reason, resulting in 1500, which is very ok for the TTimer. I had to look that up in a git blame as I was scratching my head as well, but then found I intentionally did it in 11256e9 .

The change of constref to const in Generics.Defaults is documented for newer FPC versions. Not sure if it's 3.2.4 or whatever, but your suggestion looks nice, so older compilers still may be able to compile.
