This repository contains XML schema and related documents for the ISO TC211 metadata (ISO 19115-1) and data quality (ISO 19157) standards. The final versions of these schemas are located at http://standards.iso.org/iso/19115 and http://standards.iso.org/iso/19157. This repository contains final versions of the schema as well as working versions created during the development phase. The schemas for 19115-3 and 19157-2 are now final and are available in both locations. Working versions of those schemas created during the development period have been removed from this repository for simplicity. Should corrections or additions be required in the future, this repository will be used to manage the work.
Note: Working versions are not final schemas for these standards but may be suitable for initial testing and familiarization. They are provided here to support those kinds of use cases without any expectation for persistence.
There are a number of (mostly small) changes being proposed for ISO 19115-2, 19115-1, and 19157 conceptual models. These changes are listed as issues in the 19115-2 Milestone (https://github.com/ISO-TC211/XML/issues?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=is%3Aissue%20milestone%3A%2219115-2%20Revision%22%20). These changes have been working their way into the schemas in a branch called 19115-2-Revisions. The URL for this branch is https://github.com/ISO-TC211/XML/tree/19115-2-Revisions.
