Genomics Caddy v0.2.9
What changed
- Reworked disease association results to explain what a finding means in plain language and clearly separate database or research associations from a medical diagnosis. Evidence sources and technical details are easier to inspect.
- Clarified what percentages describe, including their denominator and scope, with help text where needed. Evidence and heuristic scores are labeled as scores instead of being presented like probabilities.
- Improved report layout, control labels, text hierarchy, and responsive behavior in Simple, Clinical, and Compare views.
- Preserved evidence strength, uncertainty, inheritance context, and clinical confirmation guidance throughout the report.
Consumer DNA associations are informational context and do not diagnose a condition. Review important findings with a qualified clinician and appropriate clinical testing.
Downloads
This release includes signed Windows installer and portable ZIP, universal macOS app archive and DMG, Linux AppImage, and signed updater metadata for in-app updates.
Genomics Caddy v0.2.8
Highlights
Cleaner DNA imports
A clean local check now proceeds directly to import when the export format and build are recognized, all checked records are accepted, there are no warnings or duplicate/malformed rows, and the profile name is new. Files that need review still stop for confirmation, and replacing an existing profile always requires explicit confirmation. The import is bound to the file fingerprint from the check.
Brain, mood, and attention context
Reports with neuropsychology findings now include symptom-first prompts and links to NIMH assessment guides for ADHD, depression, and anxiety, plus appropriately labeled population research links. Common variants do not diagnose these conditions, measure neurotransmitter levels, calculate a psychiatric polygenic score, or determine medication or supplement choices.
Clearer post-import handoff
A completed import has a direct “Continue to report” action.
Safety note
Use symptoms, history, health context, and qualified clinical support to guide mental-health care. Do not start or change medication or supplements based on common DNA markers.
Genomics Caddy v0.2.7
Highlights
- Fix importing the ClinVar condition-level submission summary when it has NCBI metadata lines before the #VariationID header.
- Prevent an empty submission file from replacing an existing local index.
ClinVar reference data
The condition-level submission summary remains a separate on-demand NCBI download (~395 MB compressed), alongside the variant summary (~451 MB). These reference files are not part of Git pulls or the installer. Use Data & updates → Sync All Missing; an existing cached file can be re-indexed after updating if its index is missing.
This release updates the importer and desktop application to 0.2.7.
Genomics Caddy v0.2.6
Highlights
- Redesigned the welcome “Help & app info” action as a clear, keyboard-accessible control.
- Fixed the desktop shell sizing so long sidebar content scrolls within its own pane while Library, appearance, and version controls stay visible in the footer.
- Synchronized the displayed application version and release metadata to v0.2.6.
Downloads
- Windows: signed installer and signed portable ZIP.
- Linux: signed x86_64 AppImage.
- macOS: signed universal app archive and DMG.
The release workflow also publishes latest.json with signed updater entries for Windows, Linux, and macOS.
