Hush 1.0.1
Fixes for calls on lighter Macs and for quitting while a transcript is being finished, plus better speakers.
Install: download Hush.dmg, open it, and drag Hush to Applications, replacing the old one. Your transcripts, settings and models stay.
- A call keeps its video smooth while Hush records it: Hush takes at most about a third of the graphics chip, and less when the Mac runs hot or is in Low Power Mode
- Quitting while a transcript is being finished no longer crashes on macOS 15 and later; the transcript is finished the next time Hush opens
- One call's transcript, speakers and notes wait while the next call is recorded
- Fewer phantom speakers on long calls: a voice needs a share of the call's speech to count as a person
- A line two people share is cut where the voice changes, each part with its own speaker
- Hush records from the microphone FaceTime is using
- Playback stops when its window closes
- Meeting detection no longer keeps the Mac's audio service busy while Hush is idle
- Signed and notarised by Apple, Apple silicon
- Requires macOS 14.2 or later
Updating from 1.0.0 on macOS 15 or later: the old version may show a crash dialog as it quits for the update. The update has installed; open Hush again.
