Updates

UI Overhaul

The UI has been overhauled to be a bit more streamlined. You'll find he original import/export tools inside of the new Utilities sub panel. The Manual and Automatic systems are still in place. Tentative support for project files has been added, but nothing is making use of this feature at this time. If you do utilize it, it will automatically setup the output folder to make your project's system folder though.

SET Object Editing Support

This has been implemented in this version. Currently there are only included object definitions setup for SADX. Those are being tracked in issues #8 #9 and #6. There is currently an open one for creating the common objects in SA2B, #13, but progress on this has not started at this time.

To use this feature, you'll need to load an object list. This can be done by using the in-built object lists, importing an ini from the games (these will be missing object definitions), or importing a custom object list in the json format (matching the in-built ones). To load an object list, you'll go to the Object List panel inside of the Scene Settings & Properties panel in the addon. In automatic mode, you'll have the option to click Load Object List which will load the in-built object list for the selected level. If using manual, you'll need to simply use the Import Object List button.

Once can object list is loaded, you can load in the object definitions by pressing the Load Object Assets button. These are linked items to your scene and will be stored in a separate scene to the scene you're currently in. Once these two prerequisites have been completed, you'll be able to use the import or export SET object buttons in the Utilities panels.

Notes

  • Major Refactor compared to the previous addon. It would be better to restart any previous projects from this version of the addon going forward.

  • This release is still beta so things may still change that have breaking changes from here to future versions though I am attempting to minimize that as much as possible. Most objects implemented should now be feature complete and safe from breaking revisions. If any happen, they will be documented as time goes on.
