IzoMailer 0.3.3

Choose a tag to compare

@Izopi4a Izopi4a released this 11 Oct 17:36

A bug-fix release.

  • New mail kept coming after a network drop. If the connection broke at the wrong moment (for example during a short Wi-Fi outage), IzoMailer could wait for the server forever and stop showing new mail until you opened the folder by hand. It now gives up after a short time and reconnects, as it does after any other network error.
  • Reading in a narrow window: the message scrolls as one page, so the subject, sender and buttons move out of the way while you read and come back at the top.

Install: on Ubuntu, Debian and their derivatives use the APT repository (updates come with apt upgrade). On Fedora: sudo dnf install ./izomailer-0.3.3-1.x86_64.rpm. Anywhere else: chmod +x the AppImage and run it.

IzoMailer 0.3.2

@Izopi4a Izopi4a released this 10 Oct 15:56

The first IzoMailer release on GitHub. New in 0.3:

  • Several accounts side by side, e.g. work and personal: one section per account in the sidebar, a From choice for new mail, one unread count for all inboxes.
  • Sign in with Google for Gmail: no app password needed. Google shows "Google hasn't verified this app" once; choose Advanced → Go to IzoMailer.
  • Servers found for you: type your address and IzoMailer looks up its mail servers (like Thunderbird does).
  • Sign out of an account: removes its password and downloaded mail from your computer.
  • Wide newsletters and notifications now shrink to fit narrow windows and phones.
  • Replying to your own message goes to its recipients.
  • New downloads: an .rpm for Fedora and an AppImage for any distribution.

Install: on Ubuntu, Debian and their derivatives use the APT repository (updates come with apt upgrade). On Fedora: sudo dnf install ./izomailer-0.3.2-1.x86_64.rpm. Anywhere else: chmod +x the AppImage and run it.
