What's Changed

Transfers

  • Files are written to a temporary copy and swapped in only when complete, so an interrupted transfer no longer damages the existing file. Servers that can't swap files safely now refuse uploads.
  • Downloads check the file size before replacing your local copy.
  • Transfers keep each file's modification date where the server and Windows allow it.
  • Overwriting a remote file keeps its permissions, so scripts stay executable.
  • Downloaded names can't land outside the folder you picked.
  • Disconnecting or closing the app while transfers are running asks first.

Compare and Sync

  • Empty folders are included.
  • A name that is a file on one side and a folder on the other is marked in red and skipped by Sync.
  • An unreadable folder or file stops Compare and Sync with an error instead of giving a partial result.
  • Folders with more than 500,000 items are refused with a clear message.
  • Compare counts show in both pane titles, and Compare keeps its colors when it finishes.

Folder watcher

  • Uploads use the same safe method as other transfers.
  • Stop, Disconnect, and closing the app stop the current batch instead of finishing it.
  • The remote pane refreshes after watched uploads.

Connections, passwords, and keys

  • Key sign-in has its own passphrase field. Disconnect clears passwords and passphrases from the window.
  • A password is remembered only after a successful sign-in.
  • Deleting a session warns you if its saved password couldn't be removed from Windows Credential Manager.
  • Replacing a key pair asks first. If saving the new pair fails, the old key is restored, or kept in a backup file the error names.
  • An unreadable saved host key refuses the connection instead of offering to trust a new one.
  • Invalid port numbers are refused instead of becoming 22.

Interface

  • Refreshed layout that matches the light and dark themes, with switches that work from the keyboard.
  • Panes refresh after transfers and keep your selection.
  • The watch status shows in the Local pane title.
  • Opening the app a second time tries to bring the open window to the front.

Debug log

  • Log files stop at 5 MB each, and only the newest few are kept.
  • Passwords in web addresses and private keys are masked.
  • If the log can't be written, you get a warning and logging turns off.
