@JH-Eric-Yang JH-Eric-Yang released this 26 Oct 00:10

The controller page the Mac serves to the iPhone has a new layout, and the slide controls got faster and safer.

  • New layout on the iPhone: one top row with the pointer style on the left and Settings on the right, Prev and Next in their own columns, and the slide in between with nothing covering it.
  • Slide thumbnails are a setting: off, open from a tab at the bottom, or always on. Thumbnails need Full Disk Access on the Mac; without it the tab stays hidden.
  • Jumps from a thumbnail or by number are fast while the show runs, and land on the right slide even when the show was started mid-deck.
  • Start show from the phone uses PowerPoint's own Play from Current Slide shortcut, so Presenter View and your display choice stay as they are. On a Mac with two displays and PowerPoint in the background, the phone asks you to click PowerPoint first instead of mirroring the displays.
  • The Mac no longer leaves a changed slide-show range in your deck after Start show.
  • Local builds and releases sign with the same certificate, so macOS permission grants survive updates.

Requires macOS 15. The iPhone app on the App Store expects this version.

Download: LivePointer-1.1.pkg (open it and click Install) or LivePointer-1.1.zip. Both are notarized by Apple.
