Argus 0.3.5 closes the high-severity findings and the security fixes from a full code audit. The complete list is in CHANGELOG.md.

Highlights

  • Rules with variables stay armed. P4 rules that declare variables were moved to "needs review" every time the app returned to the foreground.
  • AI translation is more robust (#5, #8). Clarification questions from direct providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, OpenRouter, Custom) are shown as questions instead of draft_missing, malformed replies are retried once, truncated prompts and outputs are detected, and chat errors explain the real cause (rejected key, budget, rate limit, HTTP status).
  • Approval shows everything that runs, including literal variable values and each variable's source; the privacy note lists exactly what is sent to the AI service.
  • External data in shell commands is always quoted for its context, so a message can never change the approved command.
  • Reliability: long rules no longer block the scheduler, background launches without Shizuku are no longer logged as successes, budget limits are saved correctly, and editing an armed rule keeps it active until the new version is armed.
  • Privacy: "Edit in chat" no longer sends resolved coordinates or real conversation ids to the model; whitelisted contacts are sent as aliases.

Hermes bridge users

Update ops/hermes/bridge.py together with the app: 0.3.5 sends whitelisted contacts as aliases and the new bridge accepts both forms.

One APK per ABI; most phones need arm64-v8a. Argus is also available on F-Droid (the update appears there after F-Droid's build cycle).
