- Offline OpenSanctions screening:
openfoia crossref --sources opensanctions-local --opensanctions-data <dir>matches entity names
against a downloadedtargets.simple.csv(449 MB, from
https://www.opensanctions.org/datasets/default/) with no network and no
prompt. Names match after lowercasing, stripping punctuation and collapsing
whitespace: the primary name scores 1.0, an alias 0.8. A match is marked
SANCTIONED only when one of its list titles is a sanctions list (title
says "sanction", or an OFAC list); debarments, health-care exclusions and
wanted notices show their list title instead. The data is CC BY-NC 4.0,
free for journalists and non-commercial use. OPENFOIA_OPENSANCTIONS_API_KEY(environment only) is sent as
Authorization: ApiKey ...to the OpenSanctions API. The hosted API now
refuses keyless requests; a 401/403 is reported as
API key required: set OPENFOIA_OPENSANCTIONS_API_KEYinstead of a bare
HTTP status, and no further names are sent to it for the rest of the run.- Crossref dedup now strips 50+ company legal forms and honorifics; no new
dependency. "Clearview AI Inc.", "Clearview AI, Ltd" and "CLEARVIEW AI
LIMITED" become one lookup, as do "Petrobras S.A." and "Petrobras SA", and
"Dr. Jane Doe" matches "Jane Doe". (#116)
Fixed
crossref --sources icijoropensanctions-localwithout the matching
data flag exits with an error instead of running zero sources and reading
as a clean result.
