JMCP 0.1.11
New
- Connections page: connect other apps to JMCP. JAgents Terminal is the first one.
- When JMCP finds JAgents Terminal on your computer, it connects it by itself. The Connections page shows whether it is connected and when the terminal was last seen.
- In JAgents Terminal, Plugins (Ctrl+B, then e) gets JMCP commands: status, subagents, subagent providers, rules, skills, memories, and a JMCP view that opens in a new tab.
- Agents in JAgents Terminal panes get a jmcp MCP server. It lists subagents and JMCP's servers, and can call the tools of any installed JMCP server.
- Disconnect removes JMCP's plugin from JAgents Terminal. It stays disconnected until you connect it again.
- New commands for the same from a shell:
jmcp connections,jmcp connect jagents-terminalandjmcp disconnect jagents-terminal.
JAgents Terminal needs plugin support for this, which comes in its next release.
JMCP 0.1.10
New
- Instructions > Help agents find JMCP: add a short JMCP section to each agent's own file (CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, GEMINI.md, QWEN.md). It tells the agent to read your master instructions, follow your rules, and use your skills and memory. When JMCP is not connected in a session, the agent says so and offers to connect it for you. It is off until you press Add to agent files, and Take it out removes it again.
Improved
- JMCP uses less of your agents' context, so long sessions last longer:
- Subagents: a wait returns the full reply once, when the subagent finishes. A wait that times out returns a short progress line instead. Transcripts are shorter, hide thinking unless asked, and keep the newest messages. Model lists leave out descriptions unless asked.
- Rules and master instructions: when they are long and have not changed, asking again in the same session returns one line instead of the whole text.
- Browser: page reads list up to 150 elements by default and show same-site links by path only.
- Health: results are shorter, and the list of common causes only shows when nothing specific was found.
- Skills: the skill list every session loads uses shorter descriptions.
- Subagents no longer mention JMCP in their replies.
JMCP 0.1.8
Improved
- The JMCP icon is now dark blue, in the taskbar, the Start Menu and the app's sidebar.
JMCP 0.1.6
Improved
- JMCP installs and updates much faster. A reinstall now takes about a minute instead of 4 to 9 minutes, because the app has about 575 files instead of 6,709.
JMCP 0.1.5
New
- Browser for your agents. A new JMCP server, jmcp-browser, gives every agent a hidden browser (Chrome or Edge). Agents can open pages, read them, click, type, press keys, go back, run scripts and take screenshots. Each browser starts with no saved logins, and it closes when the agent is done or its session ends.
- Browsers page. A new Browsers page in the sidebar shows every browser your agents have open, with a live view of the page. It also shows which agent opened it, the folder it works in and what it did last. The sidebar shows how many browsers are open.
- Take control. When an agent hits a CAPTCHA, a login or a 2FA code, it can hand the browser to you. The browser's card turns yellow, the sidebar count turns blue and Windows shows a notice. Click Take control to click, type, paste and scroll in the live page, then click Hand back to agent. You can leave a note for the agent when you hand it back.
- You can take control of any browser at any time. The agent waits until you hand it back.
- You can close any browser from the Browsers page.
JMCP 0.1.2
Improved
- Updating JMCP now shows a small installer window while the update installs, then opens JMCP again by itself. Before, JMCP closed and nothing showed until it came back, so it looked stuck.
- The sidebar now says "Installing" after you press Restart to update.
New
- jmcp-subagents has a new models tool. It lists the models and effort levels each installed agent offers.
JMCP 0.1.1
Changed
- Replaced the JMCP icon with the blue JM design, matching JPerformance and JServer.
- Updated the Windows icon and sidebar artwork.
Test the update
In an installed copy of JMCP, choose Check for updates, then Update, then Restart. The new blue JM icon should appear after the update.
You can also download and run JMCP-Setup-0.1.1.exe from this release. The installer is not code signed yet, so Windows may show an unknown-publisher warning.
JMCP 0.1.0
First release of JMCP, a Windows app that shows and manages the MCP servers of every coding agent on your computer.
New
- See every coding agent on your computer (Claude Code, Codex, Factory Droid, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Qwen Code, Grok, OpenCode, Devin) and the MCP servers each one uses.
- Install JMCP servers into all your agents at once. JMCP warns you before it reinstalls a server where it is already installed.
- Six JMCP servers: subagents (start other coding agents as your subagents), rules, instructions, memory, skills and health.
- Instructions page: edit each agent's instruction files and set master instructions that every agent follows.
- Health page: finds problems on this computer or on SSH hosts, checks for slow text and glitchy apps, and installs package updates on hosts.
- The bottom of the sidebar shows your JMCP version and a Check for updates button. When a new version is out, press Update, then Restart to update. JMCP closes, installs it and opens again.
Install: download JMCP-Setup-0.1.0.exe and run it. Windows may warn that it comes from an unknown publisher, because the installer is not code signed yet. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
