Overview

TIL on Twitch live that GitHub now allows full-on emojis for label descriptions!!! Previously you had to use only olders ones - the text field didn't support the latest richest unicode or some such.

As much as I would love to do this to the labels themselves, we should note a couple issues (similar to #961):

  • It makes it harder for typing queries and URLs on the emojis
  • External tooling such as good first issue trackers might not integrate

Keeping the emojis to the descriptions as a result.
