• An app that's busy and slow to answer no longer drops out of the switcher; its windows on screen stay.
• Apps that turn into regular apps after launching now show up.
• Minimized windows and hidden apps' windows are found more reliably.
• Dock previews reconnect when the Dock restarts or rebuilds its icons (after a display change or wake), and match an app by bundle identifier when its Dock path differs.
• When Harbor uninstalls Ferry, Ferry removes its own login item first.
• Ferry --list-windows prints every window Ferry sees and why it is or isn't in the switcher.

Ferry 1.2

• Works with Harbor. Install the new Harbor hub to see your Harbor apps in one place and change Ferry’s settings there. Changes apply right away, and Ferry’s Settings… opens its Harbor page when Harbor is installed (its own window otherwise).
• Ferry shares its permission status with Harbor.
• Shared design code now lives in HarborKit.

Install: unzip, move Ferry to Applications, and the first time right-click it and choose Open. After updating, macOS asks for Accessibility again.

Ferry 1.1

• Pick your highlight. The selection ring is a soft pebble grey by default; choose sky, mint, lilac, sun, coral, graphite or your system accent in Settings → General.
• Liquid Glass. Panels can use Liquid Glass (macOS 26 and later) instead of Harbor’s cream.
• Quick actions work. W, M, Q and H work while ⌥ is held, and search types plain letters on any keyboard layout.
• No phantom windows. Windows that apps keep around after you close them (Music, Calendar…) no longer show up.
• Dock previews close the moment you leave the Dock and the preview.
• More reliable pictures: every window of the app you leave is pictured, Spaces you arrive on are pictured once they settle, and a stuck capture no longer blocks a window.
• A smaller hint bar, and on Ferry’s own website ⌥Tab goes to the page so the demo works with Ferry installed.

Install: unzip, move Ferry to Applications, and the first time right-click it and choose Open. After updating, macOS asks for Accessibility again because the app’s signature changed.

First release of Ferry — every window, one Tab away.

• Window switcher on ⌥Tab (or ⌘Tab / ⌃Tab): every window, most recently used first, on every Space, with minimized, hidden and full-screen windows marked.
• Live window pictures through ScreenCaptureKit, kept in memory only and taken when something is about to show them.
• Search (press Space) and W / M / Q / H to close, minimize, quit or hide without letting go.
• Dock previews: rest on a Dock icon to see that app’s windows.
• Light: 0.00 s of CPU over a minute of idle, ~22 ms from shortcut to window list, ~30 MB of memory.
• English and Turkish.

Install: unzip, move Ferry to Applications, and the first time right-click it and choose Open (builds aren’t notarized yet). Ferry asks for Accessibility (required) and Screen Recording (optional, for pictures).
