I've been on my self-guided learning journey for about 5 years now.
It all began with Python. I found the logic puzzles and ease of syntax to be very enjoyable and a great starting point for someone who didn't have much experience, if any. After working through a couple of courses, following some tutorials and building, I was able to get an internship using Python. That was a great experience and exposure to so much more information than I'd have been able to acquire on my own.
Following that opportunity, I decided to dive deeper into the web development path, making static websites with vanilla JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
All of my experience, including my degree in MIS, afforded me the opportunity to work as a web and database developer using C#, .Net and JavaScript.
Now I'm looking to expand my skillset by improving upon what I've already learned and by learning more about modern web development and acquiring knowledge about the React frontend framework.
