[1.2.0] - 2026-10-11

Security

  • Git, tar and browser-open commands no longer run through a shell. A repo URL, branch or commit taken from a lockfile, the marketplace or the command line could previously run arbitrary commands during install, update, frozen, sandbox, preview and the interactive installers. URLs are now passed after --, so a value like --upload-pack=... cannot become a git option, and branch and commit names are validated.
  • npm: installs reject package specs and registry URLs that contain shell characters.
  • The install-time security scan now also covers update (before the installed copy is replaced), frozen, install-url, installs from the lockfile and the interactive installers.

Features

  • MCP servers, subagents and plugins — skills install <slug> auto-detects the type; force one with --type mcp|agent|plugin. MCP config files are merged, never overwritten, and a .bak is written first.
  • Install-time security scan — every command that installs skills from a source (install, add, search, update, frozen, install-url and the interactive installers) scans each skill and subagent before copying it. Critical findings block the install; --skip-audit overrides on install.
  • skills audit — audits installed skills against agentskills.in advisories. Supports --fail-on, --json and --offline for CI.
  • Token cost in skills list — --table and --json include an estimated token column.

Bug Fixes

  • submit-repo sends only owner/repo; the server now fetches from GitHub with a token and reports rate limits correctly (fixes #29, #33, #34, #37)
  • Telemetry posts to the live www endpoint; search text and command arguments are no longer sent
  • Clone URLs no longer get a forced .git suffix, so Azure DevOps and CodeCommit work (PR #31, thanks @nicostoppel)
  • skills list finds installed skills across discovery paths (PR #17, fixes #15, thanks @KirioXX)
  • Telemetry counts every command run, not only install, and reports the real CLI version (it was hardcoded to 1.0.8)
  • Bare slug installs check skills first, using an exact name match
  • remove deletes MCP, subagent and plugin items by type, never a whole agent skills directory or a local source folder; update skips non-skill items
  • Replaced subagent files are backed up before overwrite; symlinked MCP configs are kept
  • skills preview opens the agentskills.in page instead of a dead domain
  • Help text no longer names SkillsMP as the marketplace or shows outdated skill counts
  • ~/.antigravity/skills is searched by default again
  • npm: installs work when the temp directory path contains spaces
  • The npm package no longer ships stale build output (old compiled tests and a removed module)

Privacy

  • First-run telemetry notice and README disclosure; opt out with DISABLE_TELEMETRY or DO_NOT_TRACK
