- Download the latest version of BlueJ and install it on your computer.
- Download the basis library of the Bezirksregierung Düsseldorf and add it to BlueJ by clicking on "Tools" > "Preferences" > "Libraries" and selecting the JAR-file.
- Open the directory "Interface" in BlueJ
- Start the program by right-clicking on "Manager" > "main(String[] args)" > "OK".
- Depending on the power of your computer, loading all the components of the program can take a while. Please be patient.
- If you like beautiful design, download the font Dosis and install it on your computer. After restarting the program, this font will be used.
- Under "Werkzeugauswahl" we have prepared different tools for you. The buttons "<" and ">" help you to navigate and select the tool you currently want to use.
- You can paint in the window called "Zeichnen".
- If you want to move the image, just right-click on it and move your mouse. Right-click again to stop moving.
- Press the mouse and drag it to draw.
- Press the mouse and release it to create a line between the starting point and the current mouse position.
- Creates a circle. Press the mouse and release it to define its radius.
- Creates a rectangle. Press the mouse and release it to define its diagonal.
- Drag the mouse and a circle consisting of lines is beeing created.
- In the "Werkzeuge und Einstellungen" window, you will find two input fields. The left one defines the path of your image (can be either relative or absolute), and the right one is the file name. By clicking on "Bild speichern", the image will be saved under the inputted path as a PNG file (by default). Additionally, you will be informed, whether the image could be saved succesfully.

By clicking on "Bild laden", you load the image from the inputted file path (currently, only ".png" endings are accepted due to technical reasons). If the file path or the file ending is not existing or other problems occure while loading the file, we will inform you in an info box.
