Superior Skills v2.0.0

Superior Skills v2.0.0 turns the project into a portable, skills-only plugin that can be installed across Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, and other compatible Agent Plugin hosts. This release also establishes one canonical skill source, strengthens package validation, and expands the installation and update documentation.

Highlights

  • Portable multi-agent packaging - Install the same Superior Skills package through Codex, Cursor, or Claude Code using host-specific manifests and marketplace metadata.
  • One canonical skill tree - All 10 skills now live under the root skills/ directory, eliminating the duplicated .agents/skills/ mirror.
  • Safer releases - Package validation now checks manifest versions, marketplace metadata, skill frontmatter, the fixed Agent Plugins schema URL, and Codex listing constraints.

What's changed

Added

  • Added the portable root plugin.json entrypoint using the Agent Plugins specification.
  • Added compatibility manifests and marketplace catalogs for Codex, Cursor, and Claude Code.
  • Added scripts/validate-plugin.ps1 to validate canonical skills, manifests, marketplace files, and release-version consistency before publishing.
  • Added copy-ready installation, update, removal, troubleshooting, and FAQ guidance in the English and Indonesian documentation.
  • Added Codex listing metadata, discovery keywords, and the Superior profile image as the plugin logo and composer icon.

Improved

  • Consolidated all packaged skills under the root skills/ directory so every supported host reads the same canonical content.
  • Updated AGENTS.md, tutorials, principles, and contributor guidance for the portable plugin layout.
  • Clarified the difference between plugin installation and the standalone .agents/skills/ fallback.
  • Documented how plugin caches and active sessions affect newly installed or updated skills.
  • Improved the Codex marketplace subtitle so it satisfies the public-listing length requirement.

Fixed

  • Corrected the root manifest schema URL to https://agent-plugins.org/schemas/1.0.0/plugin.schema.json.
  • Added validation that prevents the schema URL from being changed accidentally during a package-version bump.
  • Added version-consistency checks across VERSION, plugin manifests, and Cursor marketplace metadata.

Removed

  • Removed the duplicated .agents/skills/ mirror from the package. Root skills/ is now the only maintained skill source.
  • Removed the repository CHANGELOG.md; release history is now published through versioned GitHub releases and tags.

Included skills

  • superior-accessibility
  • superior-api-security
  • superior-comments
  • superior-copy
  • superior-docs
  • superior-lean
  • superior-logic
  • superior-responsive
  • superior-ui
  • superior-ui-audit

Compatibility

This release supports:

  • Codex and compatible Agent Plugin hosts;
  • Cursor through .cursor-plugin/ metadata;
  • Claude Code through .claude-plugin/ metadata;
  • standalone Agent Skills installation.

Superior Skills remains a skills-only plugin. It does not install an MCP server, lifecycle hook, credential, or external runtime service.

Install

Codex

codex plugin marketplace add KodekaTeam/superior-skills
codex plugin add superior-skills@superior-skills

Cursor

Open Cursor Settings -> Plugins, paste the repository URL below into the plugin search box, and install Superior Skills:

https://github.com/KodekaTeam/superior-skills

Claude Code

Run these commands inside Claude Code:

/plugin marketplace add KodekaTeam/superior-skills

Update

Codex

codex plugin marketplace upgrade superior-skills

Claude Code

claude plugin marketplace update superior-skills
claude plugin update superior-skills@superior-skills

For Cursor, update or reinstall Superior Skills from Cursor Settings -> Plugins. Start a new conversation or agent session after updating so the new skill instructions are loaded.

Standalone copies do not update automatically. Replace the installed superior-* directories with the latest directories from the root skills/ folder.

Breaking changes and migration

The canonical skill location has moved from .agents/skills/ to the root skills/ directory.

  • Plugin users installing v2.0.0 through Codex, Cursor, or Claude Code do not need to copy skills manually.
  • Existing scripts, links, or automation that read this repository's .agents/skills/ directory must be updated to use skills/.
  • Existing standalone installations can continue using their host's .agents/skills/ directory, but future updates must copy from this repository's root skills/ directory.
  • If a project already has AGENTS.md or CLAUDE.md, merge the relevant Superior instructions instead of replacing project-specific rules.

Verification

  • Validated 10 canonical skills.
  • Validated 4 plugin manifests.
  • Validated 3 marketplace catalogs.
  • Confirmed version 2.0.0 across all versioned plugin configurations.
  • Confirmed the portable manifest retains the Agent Plugins 1.0.0 schema URL.

Important

The package version changes with each Superior release, but the root plugin.json $schema URL remains https://agent-plugins.org/schemas/1.0.0/plugin.schema.json. The schema version and package version are independent.

v1.5.0

@KodekaTeamOfficial KodekaTeamOfficial released this 15 Oct 05:38

Superior Skills v1.5.0

Superior Skills v1.5.0 expands the original engineering skill set in three practical directions: defensive REST API security, automatic implementation-history recording, and deeper UI composition and motion guidance. It also adds the community and governance files needed for the project to grow as an open-source repository.

Highlights

  • REST API security workflow - A dedicated skill now covers authorization boundaries, validation, rate limiting, abuse controls, resource limits, SSRF defenses, safe telemetry, and security verification.
  • Documentation continuity by default - Material implementation work can now produce focused history entries under feature-specific docs/implementation-timeline/ directories unless the user explicitly opts out.
  • More expressive interface guidance - New references cover composition, component craft, motion choreography, rendering performance, and responsive behavior without forcing one visual style.

What's changed

Added

  • Added superior-api-security with focused references for API security controls, rate limiting, abuse prevention, and verification.
  • Added automatic change-recording guidance to superior-docs, including feature-based history folders and specific dated filenames.
  • Added UI references for expressive composition, component construction, motion behavior, and GPU-conscious rendering.
  • Added English and Indonesian tutorials for the API security and documentation workflows.
  • Added CONTRIBUTING.md, CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md, SECURITY.md, and the MIT LICENSE.
  • Added repository versioning files and a .gitignore for local artifacts and generated documentation.

Improved

  • Updated skill routing so application-logic tasks can hand off to the API security workflow when the change crosses a trust boundary.
  • Improved superior-docs guidance for documentation maps, handoffs, and durable implementation history.
  • Expanded the skill-combination tutorials to show when security and documentation skills should participate in the same task.
  • Refined the bilingual README and tutorials to describe the complete 10-skill collection.

Included skills

  • superior-accessibility
  • superior-api-security
  • superior-comments
  • superior-copy
  • superior-docs
  • superior-lean
  • superior-logic
  • superior-responsive
  • superior-ui
  • superior-ui-audit

Compatibility

Version 1.5.0 uses the standalone Agent Skills layout:

.agents/
`-- skills/
    `-- superior-*/

It is designed for Codex-compatible skill discovery at repository or user scope. This version predates the portable plugin manifests introduced in Superior Skills v2.0.0.

Install

Copy AGENTS.md and the complete .agents/ directory into the target repository root:

project/
|-- AGENTS.md
`-- .agents/
    `-- skills/
        `-- superior-*/

If the project already has an AGENTS.md, merge the Superior baseline into it instead of replacing project-specific commands, architecture notes, validation steps, or domain rules.

For a user-scoped installation, copy each superior-* directory to:

$HOME/.agents/skills/

Update from v1.0.0

  1. Replace the previously installed superior-* directories with the directories from the v1.5.0 .agents/skills/ folder.
  2. Add the new superior-api-security directory if skills are maintained individually.
  3. Merge the updated AGENTS.md guidance without deleting project-specific instructions.
  4. Start a new agent session, then invoke a skill explicitly, such as $superior-api-security, to confirm discovery.

Behavior and migration notes

There is no required directory-layout migration from v1.0.0; both releases use .agents/skills/ as their canonical skill location.

The main behavioral change is documentation continuity: for material and verified implementation work, superior-docs now records a focused change entry by default when appropriate. Users can explicitly request that no documentation be created for a task, and that instruction takes precedence.

Verification

  • Confirmed all 10 skill directories contain an uppercase SKILL.md entrypoint.
  • Confirmed the API security skill includes dedicated control, rate-limiting, and verification references.
  • Confirmed automatic documentation guidance is connected to the documentation map and handoff workflow.
  • Confirmed English and Indonesian tutorials cover the newly added workflows.
