The first official release of ExcaliHome, a self-hosted Excalidraw board manager.

⚠️ Breaking changes

  • ExcaliHome is now MIT-licensed (previously AGPL-3.0).
  • Source layout: the code moved to apps/web and apps/backend. The Docker image, the /app/data volume and DATA_DIR are unchanged, so existing deployments keep their boards.

✨ New

  • Focus mode: hide the header and sidebar so the board fills the window. Toggle it from the button next to the save status or with ⌘. / Ctrl+..
  • Duplicate board: available from the sidebar board menu and the board's main menu.

🔒 Security

  • All 28 open Dependabot alerts are resolved, plus a critical proxy-addr issue (Express) and a high-severity engine.io issue (Socket.IO).

🛠 Under the hood

  • TypeScript 7, Vite 8.1.4 and React Router 7.18.4, plus other dependency updates.
  • A smaller, more reliable Docker build context (new .dockerignore).
  • Repo baseline: AGENTS.md, EditorConfig, Prettier on commit and Conventional Commits.
