History

This package originated as a fork of OptBayesExpt, and developed at OBE_JAX for a while. Since the original fork, there have been breaking API changes, Class/Variable/Function name changes, and many other significant deviations from the original software and structure. However, the base ParticlePDF class is very similar to the one implemented in OptBayesExpt and some of the sampling method code is taken verbatim.

In September 2023 it was decided to release the software as a stand-alone package and we re-named it to seabed.
