PiPusher 1.20.0

• Zone timer. Layout zones have a new Timer checkbox in the zone table. When it is on, a thin bar along the bottom of the zone fills up in step with each item's duration and starts again with the next item. Items with an automatic duration (a video with duration 0, played to the end) show no bar.

Pi and Windows screens need this client version for the timer: send them the Update client command. Web screens get it straight away.

PiPusher 1.19.0

• External web pages work offline as snapshots. While a Pi or Windows screen is online, it takes a picture of each external page (Link (URL) media) it shows, once the page has loaded. That's at most one picture every 10 minutes per page, kept on the screen. While offline, the screen shows the latest picture in place of the page instead of skipping it, and switches back to the live page when the network returns.
• A page that has never been shown online yet has no snapshot and is still skipped while offline. Web screens skip external pages offline, as before.

Pi and Windows screens need this client version: send them the Update client command.

PiPusher 1.18.0

• Screen status shows when things started. A screen's page now shows:

  • Booted: when the device started.
  • Client started: when the PiPusher client started.
  • Player loaded: when the player page last loaded, e.g. after a reload, the daily reload or a kiosk restart.

  Each one shows the date (or time, if today) and how long ago, in place of the uptime in hours. Windows screens now report their boot time too.

Pi and Windows screens need this client version for Booted on Windows and for Player loaded (send Update client). Client started works with older clients too. Web screens show Player loaded.

PiPusher 1.17.0

• Daily player reload. Settings → Screens → Reload the player every day at (e.g. 03:00; empty = off). Every screen's player reloads itself once a day at that time on its own clock, in case a page or video hangs. Pi and Windows screens reload from their local cache, so this works offline too. A web screen only reloads when the server can be reached.

Pi and Windows screens need this client version: send them the Update client command. Web screens get it right away.

PiPusher 1.16.0

• Backup and restore under Settings (administrators).
  • Download backup: one zip with the database (settings, users, screens, groups, layouts, playlists), all media and layout previews.
  • Restore backup: upload such a zip to replace everything on the server, then log in again. The zip is checked first, and nothing changes if it is not a usable backup. The replaced data is kept in data/before-restore/.
  • Screens keep working when the restored server has the same address, which also makes this the way to move PiPusher to another host.
• Uploads larger than PHP's post_max_size now say so, instead of "Invalid form token".

PiPusher 1.15.0

• Folders for playlists, like layouts. The Playlists page has folder tiles and a New folder tile. Open a folder to see its playlists and create new ones in it, or rename and delete it (its playlists move to the top level; nothing is deleted). Move a playlist with the Folder picker on its card or in its settings.
• Content pickers (screens, groups, Settings default content) list playlists by folder.
• Playlist editors see only the folders that hold playlists they may edit; administrators manage the folders.

PiPusher 1.14.4

PiPusher 1.14.2

• Layout preview delay. Settings → Screens → Layout preview after (seconds) (1–600, default 8) sets how long a layout is on screen before its preview is taken, so slow pictures, videos and pages have loaded.

Pi and Windows screens need this client version for the setting to take effect (send Update client); older 1.14.x clients keep waiting 8 s.
