Post your Diamond Speedrun runs here.

The goal: a diamond in the inventory the world model draws, in the browser player on our site, in as few steps as you can. The fastest run posted here before 24 December 2026, 23:59 PST wins a paper copy of Sutton & Barto's Reinforcement Learning.

The model: iteration 3, the file the site plays (web/play.wgr at 00e272c).

How to post: with the diamond in the inventory, press save clip and drag the MP4 into a comment here. Write the seed (it is on the clip), the step the diamond came on, your browser and GPU, and the link to your X post.

Post it on X too: the clip as a video, a link to the repo and a tag for @rldoeswork (share writes the caption and hands you the clip). A run needs both posts.

What counts: the player says DIAMOND! when a diamond shows in the inventory on two frames in a row, and the clip's end card shows the step. The fewest steps win; a tie goes to the earlier post. Edited videos, other model files (?model=) and the real game do not count. The maintainer watches every clip and replays the seed with the same actions. Full rules: diamond_speedrun.md.
