Downloads

  • OK on the language key switches between the installed languages,
    OK long opens a list of only those
  • the new keyboard is selected again after a reinstall when the saved
    settings select it
  • updates no longer bring removed languages back
  • Greek translation complete, long button labels wrap in the settings
    Since 13.9 :
  • all 218 Windows keyboard layouts, drawn like the real keyboard (ISO 48 keys)
  • numeric keypad for number fields, key help for all keys
  • YELLOW = AltGr, BLUE = Shift, TEXT = language, PVR = switch lists
  • MENU opens the settings directly, search history size (1-99999)
  • more settings (font size, alignment, flags, background, suggestions)
  • search suggestions: Google, YouTube, Bing, DuckDuckGo, IMDb
  • translations follow the enigma2 language (gettext)
  • WQHD support, fixes for openATV and Python 2 images

Install

  • OE images (openATV, OpenPLi, OpenViX, ...): copy the .ipk to /tmp and run opkg install /tmp/<file>.ipk
  • DreamOS: copy the .deb to /tmp and run dpkg -i /tmp/<file>.deb
  • or online: wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Masta2002/NewVirtualKeyBoard/main/installer.sh -O - | /bin/sh

Restart enigma2, then choose the keyboard in Menu > System > NewVirtualKeyBoard setup.
