CodexHalo 1.1.3 fixes refresh stalls and improves access revocation before broader release.

Fixes

• Damaged or truncated compressed history files no longer stall all subsequent refreshes; valid independent history files remain readable.
• Each Codex request has one 15-second deadline, including writes and intervening notifications, plus a 1 MiB response-line limit.
• Disabling access cancels session scans between reads and prevents old frontend responses from restoring data after re-enabling.
• The transition window receives only quota fields and clears its state after transitions or disabling access; delayed events are rejected.
• Upgrade test/build dependencies to patched versions and add scheduled dependency security audits.

Download and upgrade

Windows 10/11, x64. Download CodexHalo_1.1.3_x64-setup.exe below. Quit the old app from the system tray, then run the installer over the existing installation to retain settings. The installer is unsigned. Application upgrades require running the installer; model-price updates remain independent of app releases.

SHA-256 checksums are attached in SHA256SUMS.txt.

Validation

• 78 frontend tests, 92 Rust tests, and 4 price-parser tests pass (174 total).
• TypeScript/Vite production build and Windows release build pass.
• Release executable and installer privacy scans pass.
• Full npm audit: zero vulnerabilities. RustSec: zero vulnerability entries; existing maintenance notices remain, and the glib unsoundness notice is outside the Windows dependency graph.
• Original synthetic reproductions now return a damaged-file error immediately and a request timeout at 15 seconds.

This patch does not change the visual design or notification delivery. A fresh-account interactive Windows upgrade/notification test was not repeated for this release.

CodexHalo v1.1.2

CodexHalo v1.1.2 for Windows 10/11 (x64).

The hidden screen-edge handle now follows the currently selected quota progress color. Its grip, border, hover glow, and keyboard focus use the same palette as the floating progress indicator. Colors update with quota refreshes and primary-limit changes, including unavailable or disconnected states.

Upgrade

Quit the old CodexHalo from the tray, run CodexHalo_1.1.2_x64-setup.exe, and reopen it. Existing settings are preserved unless you explicitly choose to remove app data. The installer is unsigned; Windows may show a SmartScreen prompt. SHA-256 checksums are attached.

Validation

Frontend tests and build passed. Synthetic browser checks cover all four edges, light/dark themes, quota colors, and live selection changes. Windows release build and executable/installer privacy checks passed.

The reviewed daily/manual price-catalog update flow is unchanged. Model price updates remain independent of application releases.

What's new

• History has its own page. Open it through the dashboard's clock icon, switch between 7d/30d/1y, and inspect a day's or month's tokens. Back returns to the overview.
• Compact token pricing. Model rates and estimates are on a separate page, with the catalog version. Detailed formulas and assumptions are in the repository documentation.
• Short settings pages. General, Reminders, and Prices tabs replace the long settings panel. Longer quota and model lists use pagination; pages fit the existing HUD without a scrollbar.
• Open-source project documentation. English/Chinese README, News and Changelog, contribution and release guides, issue/PR templates, security reporting, and read-only Windows CI.

Price updates

The app checks the public price catalog daily when enabled; Settings > Prices provides an immediate manual check. Once a maintainer publishes a reviewed catalog to the repository, installed apps can receive it without an application release. The repository's official-pricing check produces changes for review, not unattended publication. Application upgrades still use the installer.

The recording uses the actual frontend browser preview with synthetic data. It demonstrates navigation and layout; native tray, dragging, and Windows notification delivery are not part of this recording.

74 frontend tests, 84 Rust tests, and 4 official-pricing-parser tests passed. Windows release build and executable/installer privacy checks passed. Frontend visual checks cover short pages and keyboard navigation. Download checksums are in SHA256SUMS.txt.

What's new

• A slim, rounded screen-edge handle with smooth hover and click reveal, for all four edges.
• Local token trends for the last 7 days, 30 days, and year, with keyboard-accessible charts.
• Custom quota-reset reminder lead time, including zero minutes for a reminder at reset. Enable it in Settings and keep the app running; hidden HUDs still receive reminders.
• Per-model input/cache/output token pricing and API-equivalent estimates. Prices support daily or manual public-catalog downloads and offline fallback, independently of application releases. Unknown prices stay visibly unavailable.

Try it

1. Enable Codex access if this is a fresh install, then click the floating capsule.
2. Switch Activity between 7d, 30d, and 1y.
3. Drag the capsule to a screen edge, wait for it to retract, then hover over the handle.
4. Open Settings, enable Notify before reset, choose the minutes, and use Send test reminder. Windows notifications require the installed app; Windows notification settings and Do Not Disturb can affect delivery.
5. Open Token pricing for the model/rate breakdown. Check for price updates in Settings downloads only the public JSON catalog.

Privacy and pricing

Codex access is opt-in. Prompts, account credentials, and usage remain on your computer. Public price-table checks send no Codex data and can be disabled. Price estimates use published Standard API rates and are informational, not subscription charges or invoices. The repository's daily pricing workflow produces changes for maintainer review; new published JSON prices do not require a new app binary.

67 frontend tests, 84 Rust tests, and 4 official-pricing-parser tests passed. Frontend and Windows release builds passed, with EXE and installer privacy checks. The SHA256SUMS.txt asset contains download checksums.
