Hi,
I recently switched over to Mobiflight from Air Manager due to the easy compatibility with the PMDG 737. I want to express my dislikes for the interface and how it could be more efficient and more user-friendly.
I think the process of adding inputs and outputs is really inefficient. I think it's really inefficient to,
I really think steps 4 and 5 could be eliminated and everything just be in one spot, so you're not having to be constantly switching between menus and having to type in the names twice and so on. Removing steps 4 and 5 would significantly reduce the amount of mouse and keyboard strokes overtime. I also thinking the way of adding configs is unclear because double clicking the row does nothing.
I think renaming the button to switch would make more sense.
I also think you should be able to add one switch and define the number of positions it has, instead of having to add multiple buttons thus cluttering up the Configs Page. You would name each position, if even necessary (would just go off 0,1,2...), and then define how each position is used in the sim.
I think the config should be uploaded automatically when you press run, but that's not too much of a hassle.
I think the Display Tab in the Output Configuration Menu should be renamed to something like "Device" or "Action", as its not be very clear as to where you would select an LED if you had one.
I would love to see one of these suggestions implemented and am interested to see what other people think!
