Figured out how to use RISE to present this properly and began making some updates, including adding some notes on using RISE so I don't forget what's going on here. Still need to:

  • Make sure everything fits on my presenter display (relevant classroom wants 1440x900 it seems)
  • Include appropriate links out to other materials on the repo, e.g. highlighting the "assigned materials" stuff
  • Include some more "overview of the class" type materials
  • Include a bit on the GitHub repository as the main source of class content
  • Note usage of issue tracker for pointing out problems with the materials

Update: I'd originally intended to just bring in lecture stuff in this, but also started adding Python background Jupyter notebooks to the same PR. Out of laziness I won't separate it, so here I also need to:

  • Check jupyter notebooks I just added to make sure they look OK
  • See if there is anything else in the material I'm working from which needs porting in
  • Update Jupyter notebooks so they have sensible table of contents
