Pitwall v0.2.1
Pitwall v0.2.1
Install with one command. macOS and Linux:
curl -fsSL https://github.com/Moment-Up/pitwall/releases/latest/download/install.sh | sh.
Windows PowerShell: irm https://github.com/Moment-Up/pitwall/releases/latest/download/install.ps1 | iex.
Already installed with it? Run uv run pitwall update in your Pitwall folder.
See Install with one command.
Or download pitwall-v0.2.1.zip (below), unzip it, and follow
Install from a release
in docs/install.md.
The dashboard inside the zip is prebuilt (web-react/dist): you need uv,
but not Node.js, npm or a HeroUI Pro licence. GitHub's automatic "Source code" downloads do not contain
the prebuilt dashboard; use pitwall-v0.2.1.zip.
SHA-256: cb8b29daf0e24cb34bd7f85592c4d59e94c77e491a6e54014e7f48b9b628861c (also in pitwall-v0.2.1.zip.sha256).
Check it with shasum -a 256 -c pitwall-v0.2.1.zip.sha256 (macOS/Linux) or
Get-FileHash pitwall-v0.2.1.zip -Algorithm SHA256 (Windows PowerShell).
Before it was published, this zip was unzipped, installed (uv sync --all-extras) and run
(scripts/verify_release.py) on GitHub's Windows, macOS and Linux runners: it served the prebuilt dashboard
and stored and analysed a synthetic telemetry stream. That shows the zip installs and runs there; it is not a test with a game.
Windows support is CI-tested on GitHub runners, not yet validated live with a game on a Windows PC. Which
games are supported, and on what evidence: uv run pitwall capabilities.
The dashboard includes HeroUI Pro (@heroui-pro/react), © NextUI Inc., used under licence and not covered
by Pitwall's terms; it may not be extracted or redistributed separately. Third-party licences are in
THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt inside the zip.

What changed
- Gran Turismo 7 on PS5 is tested live (the owner's races on 2026-10-11, lap times equal to the game's). PS4 is
still untested. - GT7: one session per race. Menus, replays, loading screens and car resets no longer start sessions, and the empty
ones already stored are hidden. Tested on recordings of those races. - GT7: every lap the game times is kept, including race lap 1 (marked "race start") and laps around a car reset.
Tested on recordings. - GT7: leaving a race no longer shows the car still moving or adds a long fake lap; the session ends. Tested on
recordings (a race left mid-spin: on synthetic data only). - GT7: lap distance follows the car's velocity (within about 0.2 % per lap; the speed it used before fell up to
1.5 % short on laps with an off). Tested on recordings. - GT7: the throttle shown is your pedal, not the throttle after traction control. Tested on recordings.
- The README and install guide no longer say the one-line installer is unreleased.
