What Nur needs before the first chat
Nur runs AI models on your own NAS with llama.cpp. The app walks you through it and does not open the chat until all three are done:

1. Pair the app with Nur Hub on the NAS.
2. Install llama.cpp on the NAS (Nur Hub runs it as a Docker container).
3. Download a model. Only models that fit your NAS's RAM are listed, and the smallest one that works well is recommended.

After a download, and every time Nur Hub or llama.cpp starts, Nur Hub loads the model and reads Nur's system text in the background, so the first chat does not wait for it.

Every answer is written by the model. If a tool or the NAS fails, Nur shows the error instead of a reply. When the NAS is off or not reachable, the app says so.

Web search uses SearXNG on the NAS. Nur Hub turns on its JSON output by itself and keeps checking until SearXNG is installed.

Ollama is not supported. Nur works with llama.cpp only.
