[Bug]: Syntax error in nativephp\electron\resources\js\electron-builder.js

What happened?

I can't initialize development environment with php artisan native:serve command. A syntax error is returned in the file /nativephp/electron/resources/js/electron-builder.js

How to reproduce the bug

When executing the command php artisan native:serve the following error is shown:

Running php artisan native:serve opens electron-builder.js in VS Code instead of serving the app.
I thought this is because VS Code is the default js files view so I tried to open the file manually using Windows Script Host and I got the same error as @andreoneres

I had the same error. In vendor\nativephp\electron\resources\js\package.json, modify the line:

from:

    "postinstall": "electron-builder install-app-deps",

to:

    "postinstall": "node electron-builder install-app-deps",

I tried the same with node version v14.15.1

Tried @amoschou idea of changing postscript command but error is gone but no window popuped after serve only blank response and ofcourse without changing command got same error @andreoneres posted.

Same issue here, it asks me how to open the /nativephp/electron/resources/js/electron-builder.js file. Instead of running it with Node by default.

RollupError: Could not resolve "../../resources/php/php?asset&asarUnpack" from "src/main/index.js"

You can try installing the latest version of nativephp/electron

At some point, I also had this error, but I don't remember how I resolved it. You can try installing the latest version of nativephp/electron

In fact, it still gives me the same error as the issue but it runs the application anyway.

A whole load of improvements to development and building on Windows have been made recently.

Please update to nativephp/electron v0.6 and try again.
