How to create Canvas Token:

  1. Go to Canvas (Web)
  2. Navigate to Account > Settings
  3. + New Access Token
  4. Give it any name and an optional expiration date
  5. Copy the token to give to the program

Notes:

  • Chrome might block the download
  • Each operating system will probably give you some sort of warning about running an unknown file. If you trust, please proceed. If you do not trust, do not use. You can download the source file directly and run it directly using Python3 if you know how.

MacOS Warning:

  • There is a bug in the code that causes CanvasToken.cfg to be created at ~
    • You can safely delete CanvasToken.cfg from ~ when you are done using the program
