Is it possible to use postgres as backend with nginx proxy manager?

No, there is no postgres support. And it is not planned to add support for it. The current focus is on v3 of NPM where there will be no external database at all, it will just be an integrated sqlite database. If you don't want an extra container and are asking because you are already using a postgres server for other things, consider switching to SQLite.

I understand that Nginx Proxy Manager currently has no plans to support PostgreSQL as a backend. However, considering the financial instability of MariaDB and the performance issues associated with MySQL, as well as the fact that many AI applications (e.g., Flowise, LangFlow) are adopting PostgreSQL as their database backend, I strongly urge you to reconsider and add support for PostgreSQL.
