I'm working on adding nix and nixos details to https://endoflife.date

I'd be great if someone could give it a once-over. Also I'm not really sure what the support policy is around nix.
I originally thought 2.3 was more of the LTS/stable release, and everything following would be the more bleeding edge releases with new cli/flakes/CA etc but I guess that's all behind flags and very opt in.

This is what I have so far:

Draft PR: endoflife-date/endoflife.date#810

Just bumping this since we're getting ready to merge. Can always update it after merging too :)

One last bump before I close this. nix/nixos have been on the site for a while and it'd be great to get some feedback

At #1277 there is an upcoming discussion about the eol flags/dates.

What are we basing the eol flag on for the past releases?

Perhaps we can discuss it here.

  1. Guessing we can mark 2.8 as EOL.

  2. When does 2.3 become unsupported? The last release was in October, should we mark it as EOL?

  3. What would be the next stable release in that case?

Yeah I think that if 2.3 was to be a longer term supported release it should maybe have had a more recent release. Also there's been very little feedback here so until we receive more guidance I think latest cycle X.X = supported and anything less = EOL
