• Release workflow is now code-driven. Pushing to main with a new
  version in Cargo.toml automatically tags the commit, builds
  cross-platform binaries, and publishes a GitHub release — no
  manual git push origin <tag> step. A check-version job reads
  the version and skips the build/release jobs if the corresponding
  v<version> tag already exists on origin, so doc-only and
  CI-only pushes to main are free. The tag is created by
  softprops/action-gh-release at the release commit itself, which
  eliminates the "tag points at the wrong commit" failure mode
  that happened with hand-managed tag pushes.
