Added
- Discover shows host-owned install progress and lets you cancel retrieval
before publication begins. Leaving Home does not abandon the install;
cancellation identifies the exact attempt and refuses once commit begins. - Signed JavaScript and WebAssembly Apps can be selected through Surprise me,
inspected, installed, shared, and explicitly opened in the opaque App runner.
Native acceptance covers cancellation and a fresh retry for both link and
catalog installation paths.
Fixed
- App retrieval cancellation stops its own lookup, connection and content
requests without closing peer links used by other work. Cancelled requests
do not mark providers unavailable. - Discovery catalog pages fit the negotiated transport frame limit without
skipping cards when a page must shrink. - Verified locally seeded App bytes remain available when the original
publisher is offline. Recent explicit no-provider results temporarily
suppress repeated suggestions; unknown failures remain unknown. - Vault locking no longer reacquires a retired host through publication.
Fresh-profile consent, worker restart and host-loss checks retain strict
network-observation and teardown requirements. - Interrupted Notebook replacement, fresh-chat permission ordering,
confirmation focus trapping and spend-limit outcomes retain explicit
recovery and authority checks. Site-client receipts preserve exact origin
provenance and Unicode values. - Browser App runtime detection recognizes supported WebAssembly SIMD.
Validation and scope
- P2P remains opt-in and Chrome-preview-only. Native WebRTC checks cover
discovery, install, cancellation, retry and explicit execution. Signed
catalog and provider-survival tests cover bounded reconciliation; they do
not establish representative WAN/NAT reachability or physical network scale. - Retry starts a new download; partial-download resume and larger WASM
streaming are not included. Standalone Discover-installed WASI programs
remain unsupported. Experimental bounded-push discovery and API-first
site-client behavior remain opt-in. - Browser binary signing and installed-client update qualification are
separate from this runtime release. Public Apple signing, Linux and Windows
installed-update qualification remain outstanding.
Install (preview): Firefox: click the .xpi on this page. Chrome: drag
the .crx into chrome://extensions with Developer mode on. Most users
want the store packages (see the README). The auto-update feeds are
attached here and served at peerd.ai/updates/.
