Added

  • Discover supports reviewing shared Apps, publisher-balanced random picks,
WASM filtering, and local starters before an explicit install or run.
  • Browser Apps can retain and execute binary WebAssembly assets. Signed App
runtime requirements are checked before transfer and execution; unsupported
runtimes are rejected. Standalone WASI programs are not supported yet.
  • Discovery supports an experimental, explicitly negotiated bounded-push
profile with paged catalog repair. It remains disabled by default pending
    broader network measurements.

Fixed

  • Network status distinguishes actual peer connections from an available
introduction service, shows peer counts, and preserves connected status
when direct links survive a signaling outage.
  • Discovery preferences persist across restarts; subscription changes fence
delayed work, and paged repair catches up retained catalogs.
  • Content-provider referrals and renewed availability leases improve retrieval
and failover without treating stale advertisements as proof of availability.

Compatibility and release scope

  • This preview includes the authority-kernel migration and retired tool/hook
surfaces described under 0.8.0 below. Users updating from 0.7.3 should review
    those compatibility changes.
  • P2P remains opt-in and Chrome-preview-only. App discovery does not execute
received code automatically. Residential, mobile and corporate network
reachability, sustained churn and larger-scale capacity remain under test.
  • This runtime release does not claim qualification of a new Peerd Browser
binary or successful browser-client update delivery.
