Changed

• docket context exits 0 on an unreadable ledger and prints the error with a pointer to docket check, so the session hook still tells the agent something. Every other command keeps exiting nonzero.
• --evidence accepts a value that parses as non-object JSON, such as an issue number, as a plain reference.
• docket construct retries 429, 5xx, timeouts and connection errors by status code and exception class, honours Retry-After up to 60 seconds, and no longer stacks SDK retries on its own. Schema violations and truncated output are not retried.
• docket construct skips a document over 200,000 characters with a message naming it, reports truncated model output as its own error, and fences the document body in the prompt as data.
• docket construct dates a document from git before its own Date: line or filename; --review marks dates that did not come from git.
• The installer writes the PATH line to the first existing of ~/.bash_profile, ~/.bash_login and ~/.profile for bash on macOS, honours ZDOTDIR for zsh, and appends the line at apply time instead of rewriting the file.
• Uninstall removes only Cursor and Copilot hook entries whose command equals the one the installer writes. Entries an older release wrote with a different command string are left in place.
• The launcher resolves the latest release tag once and downloads the checksums and installer from it, with a 30-second socket timeout.
• The ledger guard hook follows a plain cd DIR through a command chain, treats globs under .docket/ that could match a docket file as the ledger, and no longer asks on >/dev/null or 2>&1 redirects.
• The docket skill marks more than one --supports set, --depends-on and the derived blocked state as experimental.
• docket imports a subcommand's module only when that subcommand runs.

Fixed

• A record containing U+2028, U+2029 or U+0085 made every later read of the ledger or feature store fail. Every JSONL reader now splits on newline only.
• --dry-run no longer creates the ledger lock file or its directory.
• docket construct reports a provider response with no text block as an error instead of crashing.
