These instructions are for Ubuntu, but could mostly be followed for other unix based os. If you get stuck on a step try logging out and back in.

Should get a message saying: "Hi username! You've successfully authenticated, but GitHub does not provide shell access."

Note: This must be done before documents are created. If you already have documents in the database, open a rails console and run 'Document.import'
- Download elasticsearch from https://www.elastic.co/downloads/elasticsearch
- Extract the file to a directory of your choice
- Run 'elasticsearch' found in the bin directory
