OMP Desktop is an independently maintained, MIT-licensed Windows/Linux x86-64 application. It puts projects, saved sessions, provider settings and live OMP terminals in one window. It is not an official OMP distribution, a hosted service, or a separate graphical chat.

Try one real workflow

This walkthrough uses features shipped in v0.9.5. The README on main may describe newer, unreleased behavior.

1. Install and configure Oh My Pi for your OS user, then install a stable Desktop package. Windows: EXE or MSI. Linux: AppImage, DEB or RPM. Desktop does not bundle the runtime or a model-provider subscription.
2. Open a project folder. If you already have saved OMP sessions, find one in the session list and open its transcript. This is different from resuming the agent: reading saved history does not send a model request.
3. Find something worth reusing: search the loaded transcript with Ctrl+F, then copy a code block or the message's original Markdown. If you have an open OMP terminal, Read above it opens saved messages without replacing the terminal or its input draft. Reread file refreshes that snapshot.

For a new coding conversation, start or resume OMP in a terminal tab. OMP uses your configured providers and tools; a local application does not imply offline inference. Provider requests can incur costs under your provider's terms.

Как попробовать

3. Найдите нужный фрагмент через Ctrl+F и скопируйте блок кода или исходный Markdown сообщения. В открытом терминале кнопка «Читать» показывает сохранённые сообщения, не заменяя терминал и черновик; «Перечитать файл» обновляет снимок.

Для новой беседы запускается OMP в терминальной вкладке. Локальное окно не означает работу моделей офлайн: OMP обращается к настроенным провайдерам и инструментам; расходы определяются условиями провайдера.

Что рассказать после пробы

Какая задача привела вас сюда? Что ожидали сделать и где возникло затруднение? Укажите ОС и версии Desktop/OMP. Неудачная установка тоже полезный результат, а не повод промолчать.
