Getting Started
TrueStream bundles the Python download engine and all media processing tools. On first launch, the app automatically downloads the required external binaries — FFmpeg for media processing and aria2c for download acceleration — so you don't need to install anything manually.

- The app creates default file structures for downloads, presets, and caching.
Once the bootstrap finishes, you're ready to go. Paste a supported URL into the Home screen input field to start your first download.
Step 1: Open TrueStream. You'll land on the Home screen with a text input at the top.
Step 2: Paste a supported URL (YouTube, Vimeo, Twitter/X, and thousands more) into the input field.
Step 3: Tap the format picker to browse available streams. Choose your preferred quality and container format. You can also apply a saved preset to skip this step in the future.
Step 4: The download begins immediately. A live progress card shows the download speed, ETA, and current stage (downloading, merging, or post-processing).
Step 5: Switch to the Library tab to access your completed downloads. From there you can play, share, or delete your media.
