OQP Studio 0.2.7
OQP Studio 0.2.7 adds an OpenMM-based QM/MM setup and analysis path while keeping large calculation histories out of the active result view.
| Area | 0.2.6 | 0.2.7 |
|---|---|---|
| PDB systems | View structures | Select QM atoms and generate validated OpenMM QM/MM inputs |
| QM/MM controls | Not exposed | Force-field XML, embedding, boundary-charge scheme, nonbonded method, constraints and rigid-water controls |
| Dynamics | Nonadiabatic workflow only | Ground-state QM/MM dynamics with NVE, NVT and periodic NPT controls |
| MD analysis | No trajectory analysis panel | Energy, temperature and density traces plus periodic radial-distribution functions and CSV export |
| Calculation history | Long result list | Current calculation first, with previous calculations in a separate loader |
Analysis now preserves the molecular camera when changing views. This release also corrects PDB element inference from atom names and prevents an older asynchronous job load from replacing a newer selection.
The current OpenQP integration supports the OpenMM backend for PDB QM/MM single-point calculations, ground-state molecular dynamics and nonadiabatic dynamics. Generic QM/MM gradients and geometry optimizations are not advertised by Studio because they are not available in this engine snapshot.
Standard and with-engine installers are available for macOS Apple Silicon, macOS Intel, Windows x64 and Linux x86_64. Keep the same platform and installer variant when upgrading.
Bundled engine: the unchanged qualified OpenQP 1.3.1 snapshot at 1db79089b285406338bd28a255b967e4011f8df7. Exact Studio/packaging identities and checksums are recorded in manifest.json and SHA256SUMS.
Mac packages require macOS 15 or later and are ad-hoc signed, not Apple-notarized. Windows installers are unsigned. Linux desktop packages require compatible glibc 2.39+, GTK 3 and WebKitGTK 4.1. Existing release assets remain unchanged.

OQP Studio 0.2.6
OQP Studio 0.2.6 fixes ACID current-vector rendering in Analysis.
| Area | 0.2.5 | 0.2.6 |
|---|---|---|
| ACID vectors | Arrowheads can appear without shafts | Full arrows with visible shafts |
| Short arrows | Minimum radius can make heads too large | Proportional shafts and heads; the head occupies 25% of arrow length |
The correction changes only the display. Calculated current densities, ACID scalar fields and vector directions are unchanged. Open existing ACID results in the new version; no recalculation is needed. Use the Induced current controls to adjust arrow density and length.
Existing 0.2.4 and 0.2.5 release assets remain unchanged.

OQP Studio 0.2.5
OQP Studio 0.2.5 is a stable desktop update with an explicit GIAO default, a dedicated ACID workflow, and a refined NMR atomic-property display.
| Area | 0.2.4 | 0.2.5 |
|---|---|---|
| NMR setup | Gauge selection can appear unset | GIAO is explicitly selected by default |
| ACID discovery | Current-density tools are harder to find | Dedicated ACID workflow, searchable as ACID or AICD |
| Atomic-property maps | Overlapping molecular representations and strong colors | One molecular representation, thin neutral bonds, subdued blue–ivory–terracotta colors, matching legend and optional three-decimal labels |
| View controls | Updating a property can reset the view | Camera position is preserved; the initialization probe control is removed |
Download standard or with-engine installers for macOS Apple Silicon, macOS Intel, Windows x64, and Linux x86_64. The with-engine variant includes OpenQP. Select the same architecture and variant when upgrading.
The bundled engine remains the qualified OpenQP 1.3.1 snapshot at 1db79089b285406338bd28a255b967e4011f8df7, also used by Studio 0.2.4. It supports NMR shielding and ACID/AICD current-density maps and vectors. The NMR atomic-property display shows atomic shielding values; it is not a continuous shielding field.
All four native targets passed installer/sidecar checks and NMR/ACID engine qualification. Exact application, packaging and engine commits are recorded in manifest.json; verify downloads using SHA256SUMS.
macOS requires version 15 or later. Mac apps are ad-hoc signed, not Apple-notarized; follow the first-launch security instructions. Windows installers are unsigned. Linux desktop packages require a compatible glibc 2.39+ environment, GTK 3 and WebKitGTK 4.1.

Studio 0.2.3 users must install the latest package manually once because that version uses the former update repository. Existing 0.2.4 assets remain available unchanged.
OQP Studio 0.2.4
OQP Studio 0.2.4 — Stable is the first independent Studio desktop release.
Download and installation · Version comparison · Engine compatibility
Studio and OpenQP have independent version numbers. The bundled engine is OpenQP 1.3.1 snapshot, exact public engine commit 1db79089b285406338bd28a255b967e4011f8df7. This is a later snapshot, not the unchanged formal OpenQP v1.3.1 engine release.
Compared with Studio 0.2.3:
| Area | Changes in 0.2.4 |
|---|---|
| Magnetic properties | NMR shielding, ACID/AICD maps, and induced-current vectors with arrow density and length controls |
| Startup | Rotating clock and elapsed time during startup, discovery and submission; responsive backend requests and clearer failures |
| Rendering | Interactive preview by default; explicit ray tracing with bounded work; preview fallback for slow/unsupported graphics and WebKit |
| Navigation | Named features instead of numbered Builder steps; pink-and-blue orbital Q icon |
| Updates | Public Studio update source, SHA-256 and size verification, default Stable and opt-in Preview channels |
| Engine identity | About shows the Studio and engine commits, with separately identified selected local/bundled engines |
Choose the installer matching your OS and CPU. With-engine includes the local OpenQP engine; standard uses a separately installed local or remote engine. Windows x64, Linux x86_64 and both Mac architectures are provided. Mac packages require macOS 15 or later. Linux desktop packages require glibc 2.39+, GTK 3 and WebKitGTK 4.1 (Ubuntu 24.04+ or Debian 13+); the standalone Linux engine supports glibc 2.28+. Both Windows variants use EXE installers.
Upgrade from 0.2.3: install 0.2.4 manually once; the old updater points to a private repository. Keep the same installer variant. Existing local/remote engines are not silently upgraded. ACID requires a verified capable engine.
Download SHA256SUMS and verify the selected file. manifest.json records the exact Studio and engine commits and every artifact's size and checksum. Previously published installers are never replaced under the same version.
Mac packages use ad-hoc signatures and are not notarized; macOS may require first-launch approval in Privacy & Security. Windows may show an unsigned-publisher warning. Ray-tracing limits cannot recover a GPU driver that has stopped responding; preview is the fallback.
Historical Studio 0.2.3 assets remain unchanged. New Studio binaries are distributed here, independently of OpenQP engine releases.
